Hey everyone! We just returned from WORLDS in Orlando, Florida (Disney World!)...and it was unbelievable!!!

We placed 21st out of 25 with the smallest team on the floor (16 members). I (Vness) am so proud of this team and all of my coaches who got them there. The road was difficult, full of obstacles and just 5 days before we left, we lost a valuable asset (Lauren Andersson) to a very bad broken arm. But as in life and as in MYTHS, we don't necessarily have to have the BEST of everything ... we MAKE the best of everything. That's how we roll.:)

We know we are a "small fish in a big pond", but the fact remains, we were given an oppotunity to compete at the most prestigious all star cheerleading competition in the world OUR FIRST YEAR! There are cheerleaders all over the world who would give anything to stand where our girls stood on Saturday, April 26th; and we stood proud and true to represent our silver, black and blue family.

To my MA's: To see how you've progressed over the past 6-12 months, has been an incredible journey for myself and all of your coaches. When we coach you, it's more than the fundamentals and techniques of cheer, a lot of how you think and who you are goes into it. Not only does each coach want you to be the best athlete you can be, but we want you to be the best person you can be - which in our eyes is the exact same thing. Though some of you are as young as 9 and as YOUNG as 15, the obstacles and challenges you have overcome were nothing short of priciple life changing experiences. Experiences that mold and shape your future decisions; and remember, the decisions you make reflect who you are in life. Getting to WORLDS, wearing the Myths uniform, representing your gym and all the people in it ... I hope you realize that you CHOSE to be there by fighting through and believing in yourself and each other overcoming slam after slam of obstacles. You ARE tremendous athletes and like everyone else, still have much to learn, but please know you're on the right path. Please know that the caliber of your spirit, the depth of your heart, the strength in your determination, your will to always get up and move forward, is what we love and thank God for the most. You are indeed MIGHTY...and yet so SMALL :) ... Thank you, thank you, thank you for a remarkable first season.

If we can do WORLDS our first year, I hope you are with me when I say, look out for our second!

Congrats to ALL the Arizona teams that went out and represented.

All In,

vness :)
